I Can’t

I can’t lie on a bed of clean straw

I can’t eat in a field of green grass

I can’t lift my head to the sun

I can’t soothe the sores on my back

I can’t quench the dry rasp in my throat

I can’t walk up the steep hill again.

I can’t….
